Terms of Service

These terms apply to the latelee mobile app, made by Frode (frode.dev), an independent developer based in Norway. By downloading or using latelee you agree to these terms. If you got the app through Apple’s App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where these terms conflict with it, Apple’s terms take precedence for App Store purchases.

latelee is a free app for picking your favorite movies, shows, books, and albums each month and exporting them as a designed shelf image. It works without an account, and what you create stays on your device. The app collects anonymous usage statistics that cannot be linked to you — see the Privacy Policy for details.

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use latelee on devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms.

The shelves you create and the images you export are yours. You are responsible for the content you put into them — including any photos you use as backgrounds — and for how and where you share the exported images. Exported images include a small “made with latelee” watermark.

Titles, creator names, and cover artwork shown in the app come from third-party catalogs and belong to their respective owners:

• Movie data from TMDB — this product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB
• TV data from TVmaze (licensed CC BY-SA)
• Album data and artwork from Apple Music
• Book data from Open Library

latelee does not claim ownership of any of this material, and its availability in the app does not grant you any license to it beyond personal use of your exported images. Catalog sources may change or become unavailable at any time.

The app’s search is powered by a service we operate. You agree not to abuse it — for example by scraping, flooding it with automated requests, or using it for anything other than the app’s intended purpose — and not to use latelee for anything unlawful.

latelee is free, and provided as a passion project. We may add, change, or remove features — including the search service — and may update or discontinue the app at any time. Because your shelves are stored on your device, discontinuation of the service would not delete anything you have already made or exported.

latelee is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, that search results will be complete or accurate, or that the service will always be available.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of latelee. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you also keep the protections of the consumer laws of your country of residence.

We may update these terms from time to time — for example when the app gains new features. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
